 Accessing PC Speaker

I am having no luck in figuring out how to access the PC speaker from VB.  I
am not trying to do anything fancy  with .WAV, MIDI, etc.  All I want to do is
turn the speaker on at a specified frequency for a specified time interval.  

Is this possible from within VB?
