the first version of CD-Text Reader, the absolutely new programming
toolkit for reading CD TextT information (artist, album, track names)
from audio compact disks.

Developed by Sony Corporation and Philips Electronics in 1996, CD
TextT is a technology that allows storing information pertaining to
audio CD tracks - such as artist name, album, or song title - directly
on the disk.

Some popular applications are able to read CD TextT, but there has
been no commercially available library that allowed software
developers to do the same in their own programs. From now on it is
easy to add the ability to read CD TextT to virtually any program.
CD-Text Reader can be used in such applications as CD players, Audio
CD analyzing and recognition systems, CD copying programs, audio
grabbers, CD cataloguers and any other applications that work with
Audio CDs.

CD-Text Reader is a COM object, thus it can be used from many popular
programming languages: Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, C++ Builder,
the .NET languages family (C#, Managed C++, VB.NET), and Java (with an
appropriate wrapper).
