 HTTP control: user login question

When I'm using my browser, I log into Yahoo Groups, and then all subsequent
requests, on this machine allow access to the user area.

But then when I ask for a file using my HTTP control, the response I gets is
as though the server does not know me.

What information is my web browser passing to the server that my HTTP control
is missing. I know it's not anything in the URL for I am using the exact same
URL.

I know this is a hard question -- something very few people know. But... if
you could just give me a hint -- or just point me in the right direction...
I'm stuck.

You need cookies! Look at the Set-Cookie header you get from the server.
