How in the heck do you set the colors used in the windows .hlp
files....  All the links in mine are this Hideous GREEN color that I
can't read...

if you put % before the context id for the jump, it stays the default
color.   this works with hcw 4, i'm not sure about earlier versions.

e.g. Jump[double underlined]%Jump_id[hidden]

They're supposed to be that hideous green color. Are you trying
to change the jump color on your system in general, or in a help
file you're building? For the former, there's values somewhere in
win.ini or something that you can set to change the jump color.
You can probably find out where exactly in the windows resource
kit. For the latter, don't do it. To me, that would be a flagrant
violation of user interface standards.

Specified as RGB In WIN.INI

A restful Blue.

[Windows Help]
Jumpcolor=0 0 255
Popupcolor=0 0 255

Example from WIN.INI. The numbers are RGB sequences.

[Windows Help]
JumpColor=0 128 0
PopupColor=0 128 128
IFJumpColor=255 000 128
IFPopupColor=128 000 255
MacroColor=248 0 248

These have no effect if your display is set for more than 8bpp
(256 colors); in that case all text in standard help files is black.
