Install error with VS 6.0 Ent. on win2k...
I ran Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition on my win2k Advanced Server box for a year without problems and then uninstalled it. ( a clown move...lol) I just tried re-installing it and got this error: --------------------------------------- Setup was unable to create a DCOM user account in order to register ' C:\ Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\common\Tools\VS-Ent98\Vanalyzr\Valec.exe -------------------------------------------------- I tried going through the install 2 more times, doing a smaller install each time. Same message. If I go Start==>Programs there are icons for Visual Basic and C++, FoxPro and InterDev and none of the will run. There is no 'un-install' icon. Also, nothing shows up under 'add/remove programs'........ Anyone know what's going on? Will I have to delete the whole VS folder and spend days getting rid of the registry entries to start over? Thanks,
