legally redistribute?

 legally redistribute?

Hello,
I am working on a small database program in VB6.  After using the
deployment utility I noticed that there was an addition to the cab
file.  An executable called mdac_typ.exe.  In this file is the EULA for
MS Jet files.  I'm not much at reading legal jargon so I found it quite
confusing.  Can you tell me what I can legally redistribute?  Has
Microsoft put so many restrictions on applications developed in VB that
it is a legal nightmare to conform? I would appreciate any input you
might have.

There is a document on the VB CD (I forget what it's called) that
specifies every single file you can and cannot distribute with
your applications.

That file is used to upgrade a potential client machine to the correct
Data Access Components so it can run your program.  It is included by
default with all VB6 packaged applications that contain Data Access
components, or references to the same.  Since it is included by the
package and deployment wizard, through no intervention on your part, it
is safe to assume you are breaking no laws. ;-)

The mdac_typ.exe is a file that distributes and installs the version of the
Data Access Components needed for your application.  You should not be
breaking any laws by distributing this file, because you can download it
for free from Microsoft's site.
