 Tricky Newbie Question

On my intro screen, I want to show a graphic of a gold bar: easy.

I want this screen to lag, and while during this intro time, I want a
little twinkle or gold sparkle to animate from one corner of the bar.

What is the best way of doing this in VB, short of "pSet"ing the
individual pixels?

Many thanks,

Loren Teillon

Just off the top of my head:

You might want to overlay a small picture box with no border--just
large enough to cover the area that changes--and cycle though a number
of "frames."  You would have to make sure that the animated section
blends perfectly into the background picture.
