Avoiding window scaling when large system fonts are used

when large screen fonts are set (for desktop in win95), Visual Basic
scales forms to have enough place for larger text. However this
makes problems with background images. Is it possible to set an
exact window size without an influence of system font size?

No, since no common "exact" size exists. The exact size of a bitmap is
expressed in pixels, and the exact size of text is expressed in Twips. Since
forms contain text in the caption (also for the buttons!) and in other parts,
the forms and controls are always scaled according to the system font size.

You only can make your form a single bitmap, and resize it at runtime to the
size of that bitmap, or stretch the bitmap to the actual size of the form. The
result will look bad, in both cases.
