Can vb programs write to Virtual memory?

Hi,

I am a new programer with vb and was wondering if Vb can write to
virtual memory. If any of you have seen "trainers" for games or
programs that change the process memory of games you see that they are
written in C++ . What I'm looking to do is have my program find a
specific process and plug in desired changes to specific memory
locations. Any help will be greatly appeciated. thanks
