
Lost Min 98 Ugrade CD Key
Alternatively, if your Win98 machine is still operative, run RegEdit and
navigate to the following key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
and make a note of the ProductKey value
If your machine isn't bootable from the hard drive , but the Win98 files are
still on the hard drive, you can boot from a floppy with QBasic.exe &
Edit.com on it.
Then do
edit c:\windows\system.dat
and search for the ProductKey string, your product key is the string to the
right of this.
