 Copyright Question

I know how to copyright musical or text-type works, but let's say I have a
new shareware program I developed in VB.

How do I copyright it before I try to actually put it out on the market
(as it were)?

Please email as well as post the answer.

Thanks,

Put a little ? symbol in a few different places in your app. If you've made
the program, you have the rights to it. Of course, somebody else could make
one to do exactly the same thing and give it a different name, and that
would be legal as long as they don't use your source code to make it (and
as long as it isn't recognizable as an UNMISTAKABLE COPY of yours).

Anything you right, create, code, etc... is rightfully yours by law
(intellectual property).
If you wish to affirm to the users of your software is not in public domain
and rightfully yours then all you have to do is to display a copyright
notice as demonstrated below.

Actually, in order to copyright a computer program you need, it costs
$20 and you have to fill out some stuff for the Copyright.  You may
want to find moer info on the Copyright Office's homepage.
