 Can 32bit C call 16bit VBX?

How can a Win32 program call 16-bit VBX routines? Is this possible?
Can it be done with a thunk layer? Is there a 3rd party product
available? Will VB4 provide any help?

I' writing a C program that needs to call a variety of VBXs.

Thanks.
