The most recent VBKB is dated 20 April 95 and AFAIK is updated on about
a three month cycle.

There is no way of estimating how many people read the FAQ without some
sort of survey. Estimating, say, that on average 1/4 of the questions
posted are answered in the FAQ doesn't imply anything about the number
of people who actually read the FAQ.
