 *Urgent!* Compatibility with Powerpoint 97 *and* Powerpoint 2000

I am using powerpoint97.tlb to communicate with Powerpoint. However
Powerpoint 2000 does not seem to be backward compatable! I want my program
to be compatable with both versions. Any suggestions? Please help!
