 can send parameter to VB EXE file
_IF_ I understand your question well:

If you have to pass a parameter to an app like" C:\STARTMEUP -HELP" just
readout the STARTMEUP command property. (TIP: Hit F1 on the reserved word
COMMAND)

Or if you'd like to pass e.g. a recordset from A.exe to B.exe A.exe has to
referenced to B, and B must have a public propterty LET/SET to recieve the
recordset.

Let's assume that B wants to have a recordset and has an recieving property
called DATARECORDS(rs as adodb.recordset)

**Code example (A.EXE)

Dim OtherApp as B
Set OtherApps = New B
Set B.DATARECORDS = tmpRecSet

Good luck.

Paul.

 can send parameter to VB EXE file
When you run B.exe pass the connection string to it as a
parameter. eg B.exe "hsxqkjhqw"

Then from within the code for B.exe you can retrieve
anything that was passed as a command line parameter using
the Command$ command.

eg
Sub ReadConnectionString()
  Dim strConnectionString As String

  strConnectionString = Command$

  If strConnectionString = "" Then
    MsgBox "No connection string was passed"
  Else
    MsgBox "Connection string = " & strConnectionString
  End If
End Sub
