Need help! VB32.exe crashes on FORM VIEW

Hi to all,

I use VB4 professional running w95. Whenever I open a project,
and press the form view button vb32.exe crashes. I get this message:

I can't run the sample files (most off them) and need urgent help?

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hi zip311,

It's because it's the Dutch version of Windows 95.....!
It means : vb32 caused an illegal page fault in module vb32.exe!

Thanks for replying anyway Zip311.
Maybe you understand it better like this? Feel free to reply if you
have any suggestions now.

Need help! VB32.exe crashes on FORM VIEW

Hi there

I had a couple of similar situations... Anyway, sometimes helped just
deleting all oca (NOT ocx) files, sometimes it didn't. Most of the time
crashes like this are caused by either damaged cashed files (oca),
wrong/incompatible versions of dll's (which can be the case since you are
using VB 4.0 - what would mean that you have newer dll's and ocx's than
those that come with original installation - I saw an article about it in
this newsgroup someplace - try dejanews) or due to incorrect registry
entries.
And, not to scare you, but I did 2 reinstallations of complete operating
system since now because I could not sort those things out, and figured that
that is the fastest way to solve problems as this.

Good luck
