Windows 95 vs. Windows NT Registry updates

I have a function that reads and updates the registry (reconfiguring
odbc settings for a migration to a new server and version of Sybase).
Everything works fine on Windows 95 machines but the one department that
is using Windows NT is getting and "Access Violation" error somewhere in
the function.  We've made sure that the keys and items exist on both
platforms but the error persists.  Do I have to do anything different on
an NT machine to get this to work?

Thanks,
