VB4 programs don't work in NT3.50
I am completely stumped. If anyone can help me out I would greatly
appreciate it.
Basically, any program that I compile in VB4 will not work in NT 3.50.
I installed both the 16-bit and the 32-bit version of VB4 on my
Windows 95 machine.
I compile a 32-bit program. It works fine in Windows 95. When I run it
in Windows NT 3.50, it says:
"The application or DLL \DosDevices\c:\test\COMCTL32.dll is not a valid
WIndows NT image. Please check this against your installation dikette."
OK, so I try the same program as a 16-bit program. It works fine in
Windows 95, Windows 3.1 but not WIndows NT. It says:
"Wrong verson of operating system; requires Windows NT 3.51 (build
1057 or above)."
Now, I find it *very* hard to beleive that I can't get any version
of Visual Basic application to work in Windows NT 3.50. It seems
stupid to have to upgrade to NT 3.51 when the program works fine in
WIndows 3.1
Does anyone have *any* ideas as to what's going on here?
Thanks in advance,
Ken
