So VB DOS is great for fast developing... ok!

Some questions follows here! :)

 - What about memory management?? Just 640K?
 - What about bug reports??
 - What about custom controls or thirdy part software (shareware,
   freeware)?

Thank you.

Yes, MS has decleared it dead,

but no, still in use,

Memory Management: Use BLINKER from BLINKER Inc, my .exe is > 800Kb, >
30 forms.

Third party: It used to be plenty, I don't know about support.

Bug reports: No use sending them to Microsoft.

MATRO,

1.0 is still the latest release.
- There are bugs, but few and normally easy to circumvent
- It is by far the nicest environment for DOS programming, but that
does not say much, it is mor or less as VB2 for Windows without much
custom control support.
- Memory is a problem, the IDE can only load and run fairly small
programms, I use Blinker to load huge programs, but then without a nice
source level de{*filter*}.

It is certanly worth buying if you really need to do end-user friendly
MS-DOS programs.
