 Visual basic programs - connect to a server - Visual Basic 5 Enterprice Edition

Could somebody send me an example of a Visual Basic program that can connect
to another server thru Winsock ?

I am trying to do a program that can send messages to my friends when they
are online...

it would be cool if i could send an inputbox to them, and they could answer
in it, is this possible ?
I have Visual Basic 5 Enterprice Edition
