 File System Object

Before i commit to learning this object i would appreciate it if any body
would like to make any comments as to its robustness - too often Microsoft
introduce a new product and let the users debug it in version 1

thanks in advance

The InProc Server for FSO is scrrun.dll and is now in version 5.1.0.4615.
I have used this for over a year and some have used it for two years. The
original version was 4.~

Don't sweat it, you should be able to catch up with us quickly. The only gotcha's
that I know about are the Dictionary object when used in ASP.

It seems to drastically underestimate the amount of free disk space I have
on certain large FAT32 partitions... Go figure,  the perpetrator of
scrrun.dll
must not have been keeping up with new and improved APIs such as
GetDiskFreeSpaceEx... or did I perhaps miss a service pack ;-)...
For the most part I have not found a good use for this particular
piece of bloatware...

What, you expect MicroSux to actually keep up with other parts of
MicroSux.?  How dare you make such an intelligent and wise statement!
If MicroSux did this then they might terminate more bugs(*1) before
releasing a product into the wild. We can not have this.

The dll file is large as expected. I do find several good uses for FSO
especially in file and directory existence verification. I have not
tried to use all of its functions yet.

[snip old post]

1:Oddlystrange(*2) claims 65000 known bugs exist in Win2000. Somehow I
do not have the stomach to refute or even argue about how this is
possible. What do you expect from MicroSux??

2: Oddlystrange is a major poster in one of my core news groups. That
is I go through these core news groups every time I am online.
