Saving your bitmap in 16 colors (NOT 16 BIT) should solve the problem.  To
get an illusion of other colors, you have to improvise.  For example:

For ORANGE, paint even number pixels in RED and odd numbers in YELLOW

For MANILLA, paint even yellow and odd grey or white
