Get/Set desktop icon positions in WinNT/2K
Hi All,
Can anyone give me a clue how to get and set icon positions on the desktop in Win NT/2K?
I have it working fine for Win9X by using the listview APIs and a mapped file to share
memory. I've looked briefly at the VirtualAlloc functions but, well, as the first line
says, I'm clueless about mechanisms to share memory in NT.
In case anyone is curious, the code, along with the program is available in a program
called ICONOID available at: http://www.*-*-*.com/
(it would be the 1.99.x beta that has this stuff in it). The code is pretty messy, but
hey, it is a toy after all.
I'm kind of new to windows programming, so any level of detail would be helpful.
By the way, I'm using VB5 at the moment.
Thanks!
