 Fading of Pictures/Animations

Hi there,

By any chance anyone interested in Animations using vb here?
I would like to inquire about some techniques that I could use to fade a
Picture and replace it by another, creating some kind of nice looking effect.

I have seen some done when a picture is replaced by some BLINDS where as they
shut another picture is showing, kind of cool, anyways anything along these
lines [suggestions/source/pages on the net /refrences/books/ etc..] would be
great.  Thanks a Lot.  Post or email, either is fine,

Take a look at fxtools.zip at CICA (it's from Accusoft i believe). It's a demo
of a vbx with about 32 of the most "common switches" between pictures.

Surely you don't want some rude code, do you? :)

Just a crazy suggestion:

You could PSet random black pixels until the picture is completely black,
then show your new one.  Someone probably knows a quick way to figure out
if it's black (I know a way, but it isn't quick).

That might look kinda kewl...

Also check out the book VB Multimedia Adventure set.
It has a chapter on fades which should get you started.
