Tech Articles on (new) MSDN CD - Microsoft Responds

Appears at least one of the MSDN development staff reads these
newsgroups.  This info comes courtesy of a Microsoft
employee, and concerns a number of articles on the MSDN CD which had
some interesting technical data.  I was griping that this data should be
available without having to fork over the $ 195 for the MSDN CD, and
voila!  Here's a response:

Hi Greg. Thanks for you feedback--we are working on making the
Microsoft www, ftp, and gopher servers easier to use.

The technical articles that started this thread are on the Microsoft
ftp server ftp.microsoft.com in the /developr/msdn/jancd area. The two
new VB technical articles are NATIVE.ZIP and NATVBD.ZIP.  The file
INDEX.ZIP in the /developr/msdn area is an index of all of the files.
It still reflects the October CD--it should be updated shortly to
reflect the JanCD directory soon.

You might want to pass this info on: <snip rest of msg>
