MS Word to grab data from MS IExplorer (5.5)

where on earth can I find information about this? I simply want to know how
to run a macro from Word which connects to IE application and uses it's
objects & functions to read & parse data from the Internet.
Is DOM the same as the IE application object model??

IMHO you should read about the internet Transfer Control (search in MSDN on
FTP)
With this vb6 control you can grap some data from internet pages.
