I've opened a project file I've been working on for some time - now when I
load it I get an error

"" File not found:'D:\WINNT\System32\plugin.ocx\1'-Continue Loading Project?

Also missing is a asctrls.ocx

I believe these files relate to the Windows Common Controls and Web Browser
Controls.

Now the plugin.ocx file is in the specified directory - I'm a little
confused what the "1'" means.

I had a similar problem with the Shockwave Flash control - I did a reinstall
and it now works = but I don't know what to reinstall to get these files to
work. Is there a backdoor workaround. How do I prevent the links from
breaking in the future.

Dunno what the DLLs are, or what the "1" indicates.  Version, perhaps.  If
you can't reinstall, try re-registering them using regsvr32.  i.e. at a
command line type:

regsvr32.exe <path to DLL>

regsvr32 is supplied with all windows systems; search for it if not in your
path.
