 Smooth movement of an ImageBox

I am trying to slide an image across the screen.  I am accomplishing
this with a timer control, and at every timer interval (set to 1) I
move the image a set amount.  The problem is the movement is very
choppy, and it seems that it won't keep up with the timer.  For
instance, I want to move the image across the screen in 200 steps at 1
ms between each step.  I only seem to be able to move 17 steps before
the timer cycles 200 times (200 milliseconds).  Is there a more
efficient way to move an image?

Thanks in advance,
-Bill
