Wise Installation program wipes Win98 and NT workstation
I recently had the most unpleasant experience with Wise installer. I
wanted to use it because it creates an installable executable that is very
nice for web deployment. On a win95 system it worked fine, but with win98
(my uncles system, he wasn't happy) and on an NT workstation (my system I
wasn't happen) it screwed up the registry so bad the system needed to be
reloaded.
Questions:
Has anyone else had this problem?
Is there a patch, I can install?
Do I need to buy another copy that supports the NT type platform (not
likely, I spent way to much on the first one)?
Well, for the moment I am back using zip files, not very elegant, is it?
