Greetings:

  I cannot seem to find any examples of how to get the amount
of memory available.  Even better would be a way of knowing just
how large the running application has grown.  What I am trying
to do is to tune an application both for speed and size.  

  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

you could look for HEAPWALK.EXE by microsoft.
(displays details abuot every memory objekt currently loaded into Windows)
