 Win 98, Win 95 and VB5

I have a question regarding compatibility between Win 98, Win 95 and VB5
(SP3).

I develop VB5 applications for several clients. The applications use common
dialog controls, all the normal basic VB controls, Sheridan Data Widgets
3.1, Crystal Reports 6.0, MS Access 97.

Right now  I use Windows 95 (the first version) on my development computer
but am considering 'upgrading' (I felt the quotes were necessary) to Windows
98.

My clients all use Windows 95.

If I create a VB5 application on my Windows 98 development computer, use the
VB5 application setup wizard to create the setup kit and then install the
setup kit on the client's Windows 95 computer, can I expect trouble?

Anyone else faced this scenario?  How did it work out for you?

Thanks,

Rick Haslip

Honestly, work with the common denominator.   W95 or NT.

I have 2 PCs (98 and 95) and an NT server.   I've found many problems
with 95/98 in general and now develop solely in NT for VB (using 5.0
sp3).   I am very happy with it.  However, if you want to support
without compatibility issues that may crop up and you have a choice
between 95 and 98, use 95.
