 VB5 EE, SQL/Server 6.5, Win NT

I have been programming in VB since VB3. Now I am about to  embark on my
first multiple programmer, client/server,   3 Tier project using VB5 EE,
SQL/Server 6.5, in a 3 tier design and complete Object Oriented
methodology. I come out of the monolithic UNIX C and Business Basic and
Informix environment.

My problem is this.

I don't know how to best set up the products for this type of project.

Should I load all products on one NT Server? Or should I purchase another
machine to be a client, and load the appropriate products on their
respective machines? What are their respective machines? I want to make
sure the development environment closely resembles the production
environment. I'm reading as much  Microsoft documentation as I can, but
nothing seems to completely answer these question.

If anyone has "real-world" experience here, or can recommend a good book on
this subject, I would be greatly appreciative.

One Server with SQL Server 6.5
Another With Transaction Server
I would have another Server with Source Safe on it and you and
your team can develop from your workstations.

Enjoy.
