I have been asked by a client if it is possible to launch an external
viewer from within Access.

The company has cataloged graphic tiff files which they keep on
CD-Rom.  The file names and details are kept in the Access db
contained on a hard drive.  They would like to be able to open a file
by preferably double - clicking on the file name from within access or
even a button which would start up a graphic viewer and auto-load that
image.

Although I have done a little Visual Basic I confess to not knowing a
great deal about Access, I mainly deal with multimedia.

Any advise will be gratefully received
