ANNOUNCE: HTML Object Library 1.0
A free evaluation copy of HTML Object Library 1.0 is now available.
The HTML Object Library is an OLE server that provides a way to publish
information to the World Wide Web from any programming language that
supports OLE libraries. By providing programmatic access to Hypertext
Mark-up Language (HTML), the HTML Object Library simplifies the
development of applications that manage Web sites automatically.
For example, the HTML Object Library can be used in conjuction with
Visual Basic 4.0 (32-bit) to publish HTML files that include information
stored in a variety of database formats, including Access, Btrieve,
dBase, FoxPro, Paradox, SQL Server, and other ODBC databases. When it is
used in this fashion, the HTML Object Library simplifies the maintenance
of your Web site to entering and modifying data in your existing
corporate database.
If you are developing CGI applications, the HTML Object Library can
reduce your development time substantially by minimizing the number of
HTML commands that you must learn or remember, allowing you to focus on
your application's functionality.

We'd love to get feedback from those of you who are developing
Windows-based CGI applications and/or Web sites based on data stored in
a database.
