 Error 3218?

When executing an "Update" to an Access table, the following comes up:

Err 3218    Couldn't update; currently locked.

Anyone know what this is all about? Can't find documentation anywhere.

Thanks

 Error 3218?
Jeff

usually means that another user is accessing the record in the database
which has locked it for other users. You may be able to read it, but not
write to it (i.e. update) really depends on the locking strategy in use.

Check your code - you may be locking yourself out - depends on how
you've accessed the database.

Maybe it's what it says: The record is currently locked.

Have you opened the database or recordset for read-only?
Is it a multy-user database?

Johan.
