Jet 2.5 Vs. Jet 3.0

 Jet 2.5 Vs. Jet 3.0

Has anyone compared the performance of the 16 and 32 bit packages?
I've inherited a 16 bit app that crawls on 486 33's running Windows
95. Would it be worth the effort to get it running in the 32 bit VB?

I believe the machines have 8 and 16 megs of RAM.

Thanks in advance

The May issue of VBPJ contains several excellent articles comparing VB3/VB4(16)/VB(32) performance.
I was a little disappointed that the article on clocking data access included only tests against
remote database servers.  They didn't clock any ISAM access at all.

Andrew,

A rather recent issue of VB Programmers Journal did some pretty good testing of
performance on different OS platforms with both VB4/16 VB4/32.  You may find your
answer there.
