Help requested: VB corrupts access 1.1 database

Our software is a multi-user VB3 /Access 1.1 application.
Our client is reporting 'corrupted database' errors. From
the documentation on repairDatabase, it seems that a database
can only be corrupted due to a power failure, or hardware
problems. The client says that this is not
the case. The application is running in many multi-user
sites without any report of corruption. Are there other
circumstances which can cause corruption?

Many thanks.

Make sure everyone either has share.exe loaded in autoexec.bat or
(even better) is running vshare.386. A Windows 3.1-compatible
vshare.386 can be found in setupk.exe on ftp.microsoft.com
/softlib/mslfiles. Also make sure your client's server has plenty
of file locks available.
