I am looking for a Time and Attendence, Time Clock or Time Tracking
Package written in VB or MS-Access.

I have to write one for a client, and I am trying not to reinvent the
wheel.

If anyone out there knows of package of any sort written in VB or
Access, that is shareware or public domain please send me some e-mail.

All help is greatly appreciated.

    We use a "package" we wrote for our in-house needs.  It is not suitable for
commercial sale as is, but it is a pretty neat package.
    We have written a program that runs on Palm Pilots (including the PC
shareware emulator).  The data is HotSync'd to a PC.  A VB data reduction
program is run against the collected data (in our case monthly or on demand).
The reduced and verified data is in a CSV file which we import into an MS-Access
database.  Reports in the Access DB are generated for billing and management
reports.
    Our company is a computer R&D consulting firm.  We invoice for time and
materials.  This covers the time part.  The employee clicks to record an event.
The current, but modifiable, date and time are provided.  The employee enters a
four character project code, and optionally up to 60 characters as a comment.
Until HotSync'd, the employee may insert records, modify them, delete them, and
clear the database.
    In several years (4 or 5?) of using this system we have never (knock on
wood) lost any data.  This has been really good for us.  We have often thought
of taking it on the road, but we know how much work is involved in the marketing
and have been pleased with the business we have had.
