can i develop an intranet application with Visual Basic?
If yes What version/edition?

What do you mean by an "intranet application"?
- One all the users on your network can run, or...
- One that runs in a web-browser (Applet/script)?

For the first one: Yes, any version...
For the second: Yes, recommend VB5 (activeX documents)

Diegs,

        Sure you can, the first thing I'd check up on is the version and type of
web server software you are running. From there you can tell if you'll need
to write WIN-CGI or CGI vb programs or possibly even VBScript or Active
Server Pages (both are similiar to VB).

Another option as well is to use VB to design and code everything and a
company by the name of TV Objects makes an Add-in that converts VB to
Java.  They are located on the web and have a demo on their site.  So
you could make Java applets for your users.

I would look at version 5.0 enterprise edition its packed full of internet
stuff.
