When I try to connect VB 3.0 Pro to an Access 2.0 database, I get the message
that I have an incompatible version of Access.

Does VB 3.0 Pro only work with Access 1.1?  If not, what do I have to do to
get Access 2.0 to work?

You need to get the Jet engie update for Access 2.0 database access.  You
can get it off of compuserve or america online or from microsoft's ftp
server - ftp.microsoft.com

That is correct.  You need the compatibility layer.  I got mine from Compuserve,
you want a copy I can email it.

VB creates and natively uses 1.0/1.1 Access tables.  It only will work with Access
2.0 tables when the compatability layer is installed.  Let me know.

 And after the upgrade , you can read Access DataBases V1.0, 1.1 and 2.0
