 Help: VB 3.0/Access 1.1/ 2.0 with Office 97

I have a VB 3.0 application that uses an Access database for internal
purposes.
I've lost track of whether this is an Access 2.0 or 1.1 database.
(The compatibility layer is installed, and the database was defined in
code.)

This application has worked OK under Windows 95 until recently. Customers
running Office 97 cannot run the application (the error is File Not Found
-53 ) trying to open the database.  I suspect an incompatible dll or such
but haven't been able to track it down.  Besides the obvious (convert the
application) can anyone verify whether it is possible to mix and VB 3.0 app
with Office 97?

Thanks very much.
