BETA RELEASE: VB Power Tools
Visual Basic IDE Power Tools 2.0 Beta Release
More than 500 beta testers have signed up in many different
countries including USA, the UK, South America, Israel, Finland,
Norway, Australia, Russia, China, Japan, ..I could go on.
This has been the best beta test we have conducted yet.
So good in fact that we received a couple of errors that we felt were
critical enough to warrant extending the beta.
We are committed to releasing the best product possible. With that
said, we are providing you with the best possible beta to show our
commitment to providing you the best service and the best product
possible.
The Release Notes did not get published to the web site today but are
in the installation.
You can download the new version at http://www.*-*-*.com/

RELEASE 2.0.303

Code Alignment - The code alignment utility would give an error when
trying to align a Win32 API Declare statement. This is now corrected
and working. The fix is verified by the User who reported this problem.
(Critical)
Function Separator = The Function Separator Utility would not use the
separators configured by the user. Instead the separator was
hard-coded. This was only a problem from the Short Cut Key
Ctrl+Shift+S and from the Right-Click menu. This is now working and
verified by the user who reported the problem. (Critical)
Right-Click (Code Edit) Menu - One user noticed that he could modify
the ordering of the menu's icons but that the changes were not
remembered between VB instances. We could not quickly fix this but
we did notice that his preference in ordering the menu made more
sense and so we changed the menu to reflect his changes. Basically,
the Goto Top / Bottom Icons moved from the top of the menu to the
bottom. (Enhancement)
Note: A few users have noticed that "CodeAvionics" is in the right
click menu twice after installation. If this happens, close VB and
restart and the anomaly will go away.
