VB6 caused an invalid page fault

I am getting this fatal error whenever I add a control and go to select the
datasource property.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

VB6 caused an invalid page fault in

VB6 caused an invalid page fault
Rusty,
I sounds like your control has a pretty {*filter*} bug. You may want to contact
the vendor you bought it from. Have you every been able to successfully add
the control to a form? If no, then the control is the prime suspect, if yes
then VB and/or other controls on the form may be contributing to the
problem. Hope this helps.

VB6 caused an invalid page fault
The control is a standard VB Data control, addressing an Access database
table accessed in several places throughout the code. Its not just here I
get the error, but for instance yesterday I had the same error when opening
a DataReport, just trying to open it to edit.  I'm guessing, but I believe
that if I remove DataEnvironment1 and the associated data reports all will
be fine. Nothing third-party here, just the stuff shipped with VB6.

Thanks for the reply, maybe the extra info I have supplied will give you a
better idea what the problem is.

VB6 caused an invalid page fault
Rusty,
We I first opened VB 6 to learn what was new I decided to try the
DataEnvironment. After crashing VB several times in design mode I've decided
NOT to use dataevironments again. I believe M$ may have fixed some of the
stability problems with service packs so I would make sure you have SP3 if
you need data controls or dataenvironments. I can't say much about Data
controls since I've never used one, but I've heard of similar bugs with them
and ADO. I've used RDO and ADO 2.1 recordset methods without incident. Hope
this helps.
