Whats faster DAO or ODBC Direct?

Hi there

I'm working on an application that makes a lot of recordsets based on
Select * From where etc SQL clauses.  What is the faster method to use
bearing in mind it is an Access DB.  Use dao to access the db
directly, odbcdirect to access a datasource associated with the db?

Thanks
Greg......
