To Whom it May concern,

        I would like to know how i would be able to have my Access Database
Poll through a DDE link with out having the Access97 application open.  
Better yet, If i want to move the dataBase to another computer, how do i
get the data base to poll without installing Access97 on the other
computer.  I am going to link an application that i am writing using
Visual C++ to the dataBase at a later data.  Do i have the Application
tell the DataBase to start polling etc.  If so how is that done.  

        I know that i am asking a lot but i am in desparate need ... :)

P.S.  I am Linking the database to PLC5/25 to read the addresses.  
(Programmable Logic Controller - Allen Bradley product) I Have no problem
Polling the PLC when running Access ... I'm trying to do so with out access
running. ............Help.......... help ... help ..... help ....
