 Oracle ODBC Driver

Dear All:

I am trying to use RDO to connect to Oracle database, but I always have
errors with ODBC.  I am using Visual Basic 6.0.  Does it matter which
version of ODBC drive I am using? (mine is 1.15, the older one).

I appreciate all your responses.

Kind regards

You can download Oracle ODBC Driver from technet.Oracle.Com. The size of Oracle 7.3 ODBC driver pack is 10M. Wish you get it.

I've also been having problems with Oracle using
both DAO and RDO in VB 6.

Connecting seems to work ok, but UPDATEing
recordsets (and resultsets) with the Oracle ODBC
Driver version 8.000.0500 always seems to give
the following error:

S1C00 ODBC Library not Capable.

The solution I found was to change over to
Microsoft's ODBC for Oracle driver (version
2.573.292700).  Maybe this will work for you as
well.

> I have a feeling your problem stems from your ODBC.  Why don't  you

check the internet for newer version or conctact the manufacturers.  I
read somewhere that older drivers might not respond as well as the new
drivers.
