Oracle DLL vs ODBC

 Oracle DLL vs ODBC

I was just wondering, does anybody know the speed differences
between an ODBC link, and using the controls ORACLE gives you.

I am working on a fairly large (1 mil) database and we are s
starting to get frustrated with the ORACLE controls, and their
incompatibility with other VBX controls..

Thanx!

Everyones mileage seems to vary here and don't forget they
both have different features and implementation.
OO4O - caches all data locally and provides read-consistency
ODBC/JET - select a primary key and reselect when needed..
etc..

If you only have the first production release 1.0.42, you should
upgrade to the second release 1.0.55. This release fixed a number
of problems with 3rd party data aware controls, especially grids
and combo/list boxes.
