Hello all.
I have just finished my second database application for distribution to
100+ clients. I've been fairly successful at finding workarounds and
fixes to VB4.0's bugs and 'problems'. Both applications were a complete
success, yet they are the only 2 applications I've created thus far
using Visual Basic.
I've been developing GUI applications for the Industrial Automation
Industry for over 7 years now, using MMI(man-machine interface)
software. It's starting to look like I'm going to be getting back into
that line of work, and I don't want my knowledge of VB to get stale.
I'm looking for companies or individuals who might have database-type
applications they would like help on or would like me to write.
I couldn't do this work free of charge, because there are other ways to
spend my time that are a little more profitable. However, I would charge
a very reasonable rate for a programmer. I could either do the job by
the hour or fixed price. Either way I would roughly base it on $20/hour.
If this isn't reasonable, I don't know what is. I just want to stay full
force on VB, because I want my career to veer towards the more complex
programming languages, other than the simple basic-type languages used
in MMI programming.
If you think you might have something, drop me an email. Currently I am
most proficient at database programming in VB, but I would be interested
in other types of applications.
Thanks,
Phil Glass
