
SQL Server and NT Workstation and VB Pro

Registering the server through Enterprise Manager is a fairly simple
task, is there an error message ? Make sure there are no security
restrictions on the machine your working on.

I would suggest taking some classes to get familiar with the software
you have chosen to program with and it seems from your post a class or
book on client server applications modeling would be appropriate.
