 Resource Files .RES

Has anyone found a method to create and edit resource .RES files using VB
4.0? Visual C++ has a resource editor that is quite easy to use but my
client is reluctant to buy C++ for the resource editor alone.

Thanks,

If you have the appropriate image editing software available, the
resource script itself can be created with any text editor.
Visit:

There is a DOS resource compiler into the VB CD...

Look at:
\tools\resource\rc16
or
\tools\resource\rc32

And the script format and both 16- and 32-bit resource compilers are
available in the Tools directory on the VB4 install CD.

Yup, that's where I stole them from. <g>

If I remember correctly, the instructions were in a simple text
file. All I did was reformat a little.
